In 1965, after provoking a fire in a forest, the rebel teenager Heather Fasulo is sent to the boarding school Falburn Academy in the middle of the woods by her estranged mother Alice Fasulo and her neglected father Joe Fasulo. The dean Ms. Traverse accepts Heather in spite of the bad financial condition of her father. The displaced Heather becomes close friend of he weird Marcy Turner, while they are maltreated by the abusive mate Samantha Wise. During the nights, Heather has nightmares and listens to voices from the woods, and along the days she believes that the school is a coven of witches. When some students, including Marcy, simply vanish, Heather believes she will be the next one.

True love, motorcycle daredevils, and alien visitation all find their way into this wildly imaginative fantasy, written and directed by Didier Poiraud and his brother Thierry Poiraud, a pair of comic artists who adapted the story from their own work. James Bataille (Jason Flemyng) is in love with Concia (Vanessa Paradis), a chanteuse whose father, Bosco (Jean-Pierre Marielle), runs the only nightspot in the tiny town where they live. The mechanically inclined Bataille attempts to stage an elaborate motorcycle stunt to impress Concia, but when it goes sour, he ends up in prison with a 133-year sentence. Desperate to help Concia and raise some money, Bataille escapes from behind bars to make an appointment to fix the car of music biz tycoon Allan Chiasse (Benoît Poelvoorde). Chiasse’s timing may be fortuitous, as Concita is soon to take part in the town’s annual talent show, though he’s expected to face tough competition from a very unusual dog act.

An innovative look at the life of fictional Mafia Capo Tony Soprano, this serial is presented largely first person, but additional perspective is conveyed by the intimate conversations Tony has with his psychotherapist. We see Tony at work, at home, and in therapy. Moments of black comedy intersperse this aggressive, adult drama, with adult language, and extreme violence.

Set during Japan’s Shogun era, this film looks at life in a samurai compound where young warriors are trained in swordfighting. After thirteen years in a prison ruled by a very mean director, Dr. Herbert West (Jeffrey Combs) is invited to be the assistant of the new-comer Dr. Howard Phillips (Jason Barry), a brilliant resident, in the penitentiary infirmary. After being introduced to each other, Dr. Phillips discloses that the last experiment of Dr. West killed his sister thirteen years ago, when he was a boy, and he became fascinated with the possibility of bringing dead people back to life. The journalist Laura Olney (Elsa Pataky), who is covering a matter for her newspaper in the prison, has an affair with Dr. Phillips, and they fall in love for each other. However, the experience of Dr. West looses control and the place becomes a branch of hell.

When commercial towing vehicle Nostromo, heading back to Earth, intercepts an SoS signal from a nearby planet, the crew are under obligation to investigate. After a bad landing on the planet, some crew members leave the ship to explore the area. At the same time as they discover a hive colony of some unknown creature, the ship’s computer deciphers the message to be a warning, not a call for help. When one of the eggs is disturbed, the crew do not know the danger they are in until it is too late.

Jamal Walker is a bumbling African-American loser with a lousy job at a crummy theme park called Medieval World, which is receiving heavy competition from a superior stadium with a similar theme, Castle World. Jamal’s pathetic life, however, is dramatically altered while cleaning the stagnant moat. He finds a medallion in the moat, and while trying to pull it from its spot gets sucked into a vortex after an apparent knock on the head. Awakening in England, 1328, he bungles his way through this strange new world, learning his modern lifestyle learned in the ghetto clashes strongly with the Renaissance period. Believed to be French, for his odd dress and manner of speech, Jamal finds himself banding with an attractive freedom fighter named Victoria, and Knolte, an alchoholic, penniless former knight who failed his queen and allowed her to be overthrown by an evil king, whom Jamal is forced to perform for as a jester named Sir Skywalker. However, he may be forced to become no less then, indeed, a black knight, who will have to fight in a vicious battle – after making love to Victoria, of course.

This is a Japanese adaptation of Shakespeare’s King Lear. An aging warlord decides to split his kingdom between his three sons, who will live in three separate castles. The two eldest sons are quite happy, but the youngest thinks his father has gone mad, and predicts that it won’t be long until the two older brothers are fighting with each other.
