Sent from the city to investigate the murder of a teenage girl in a small Alaska town, a police detective (Pacino) accidentally shoots his own partner while trying to apprehend a suspect. Instead of admitting his guilt, the detective is given an unexpected alibi, but this “solution” only multiplies the emotional complexity and guilt over his partner’s death. He’s also still got a murder to solve, in addition to the blackmail and framing of an innocent bystander being orchestrated by the man they were chasing. There’s also a local detective (Swank) who is conducting her own personal investigation… of his partner’s death. Will it all come crashing down on him?

Cruising is the fictional account of a series of gruesome killings in modern day New York City. Steve Burns, a “beat” officer still wet behind the ears, is recruited by Captain Edelson of the NYPD Homicide Unit to go undercover in search of the perpetrator. The victims in these killings are all homosexual men known to frequent “Leather,” S&M (Sadism and Masochism), and B&D (Bondage and Dominance) clubs so Burns, in “deep cover,” must mascarade as gay in order to attract the killer. He fits the victims’ profiles: dark hair, dark complexion, dark eyes. Cruising tells the story of his adventures and misadventures in this small subculture of gay society as he searches for the killer.

How is the Leavenworth prison inmate, Robert Stroud has a number of confrontations with the guards and other convicts. When Stroud kills a guard, he was ordered to comply, and only his mother's impassioned intervention in the form of his sentence to life imprisonment, which he is to serve the solitary confinement. As he serves his sentence, boredom and despair, one day he finds a helpless baby sparrow in the exercise yard. Stroud will soon take a deep interest in caring for the birds, which gives him a new life goal, but that also creates new conflicts with prison authorities.

Munny made amends for his young woman, and has raised grain and two children in peace. But his woman is away. Farm life is hard. And Munny uses in it nothing. Thus he calls his old partner Ned, sattelt his usual troublemaker, and rides from to kill once again, the lines between heroism and roguery, man and myth smearing.

A game of history against the Massacre of Meadows of Mountain, the film is based on the tragedy which occurred in Utah in 1857. A group of colonists, travelling on wagons, was assassinated by the native Mormons. All together, about 140 souls of men, the women and the children, were taken. Among it, two future young people of the lovers, a Mormon and other one of the colonists condemned by Arkansas, develop a report in an atmosphere of suspicion and of rancour.

Truman Cape wrote ‘the novel of not fiction’ of which the movie is drawn, using the art of the novelist to give the reality. The reality was this in two to. m. on November 15, 1959 in the rural city of Holcomb, Kansas, four members of the family of Disorder were woken up of his sleep, they tied and they had morning sickness, and after brutal way murdered by two unknown attackers. After apprehension of the latter, to condemn and imprisonment before the execution, Cape investigated the case thoroughly, spent per weeks speaking with the prisoners, Perry Smith and Richard Hickock, juries, police officer, friends and neighbors, trying to dig up why such a senseless act was realized, and which the answer of the society might have been.

In 1866, Kansas, American civil war has just finished and the dissolved armies. The Western building begins and in 1872, the new city of Dodge City is governed by violence and fusillades. A player of admired hockey of high school (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) with the brilliant future foolishly takes a walk of night with his friend of girl and two other friends with his lighthouses of with devastating results. His marriage also broke up, and if he sees June some years later in a prize show, he makes June travel with them again, promising June to support her two children and itself. While the tour goes on, the respect between June and John grow more, and his marriage at his first women’s ends. June gets to know from the narcotics, and help him to overcome it. True love and worry helped John to stop, finally, the narcotic use, and plan, finally, to her before an audience in a show.
