Ollie Trinkie is an advertising agent, with a big girlfriend, Gertrude, to whom he gets married and they expect a baby, but while he is impatient to be a father, he does not clarify his workload. Gertrude gives birth, but dies in process. Ollie is not faithful to his responsibilities as a father. Finally effort and pressure to lose his wife and to be a father arrive at her and it has the breakdown, which leads to its termination. So with nothing many to make he tries to be the good father to his daughter, Gertie. He also meets a young woman call the Mayan, who loves him but he is not still on his wife.
Ollie Trinkie est un agent publicitaire, qui a une grande petite amie, Gertrude, avec qui il se marie et ils s’attendent à un bébé, mais pendant qu’il a hâte d’être un père, il n’éclaircit pas sa charge de travail. Gertrude donne le jour, mais meurt dans le processus. Ollie n’est pas fidèle à ses responsabilités comme un père. Finalement l’effort et la pression de perdre sa femme et être un père lui arrivent et il a la panne, qui mène à sa résiliation. Ainsi avec rien beaucoup pour faire il n’essaie d’être le bon père à sa fille, Gertie. Il se rencontre aussi une jeune femme appellent le maya, qui l’aime mais il n’est toujours pas sur sa femme.
