Five months after the birth of his son, Mel Coplin remains unable to call the child until he meets his own biological parents and discovered who he “is really. ” Shone, his wife Nancy and his Tina “the social helper in” Kalb of training fly off of to California to meet his birth mother— who turns out not to be her mother, because of an error with the files of adoption of the agency. The quartet puts on under way in search of the real parents of Mel, with tensions growing because of the sexual chemistry missing between Mel and Nancy and growing between Mel and Tina.
