The rest of his career was mainly in supporting casts, but he received good notices for his work in The Untouchables (1987). While his career was flat in the 90s after appearing in the flops Speechless (1994) and I Love Trouble (1994), he came back with a good performance in the TV mini-series "Larry McMurtry's Streets of Laredo" (1995).
