Plot Summary:
1950 - some New York an adventurous freelance photographer is found limits to a wheel chair in his tiny flat, while a broken leg makes amends. With the only occasional distraction of a visit nurse and his thwarted love interest, a nice fashion, like adviser, his attention on the court beyond his “rear window” and the inhabitants of the dwelling houses of course is steered who surround it. Soon he is used by the private dramas of his neighbouring lives which wear themselves out before his eyes. There is “Miss Lonelyheart who has despaired” thus for her imaginary lover that she sits him a plate in the dining table and simulates her following chat. There is the frustrated composer, which on his piano who bangs solar bath taking sculptor, to the well-shaped dancer, the Jungverheiraten which are hidden from her neighbours by a window shade, and a botch-up pair of middle age with a small yelping dog who sleep on the fire escape to avoid the heat passing before heat of her flat. And then there is the mysterious shop assistant, of that, grumbling which collapses sudden absence of the invalid woman of the scene evil-announcing with predatory attacks “middle of the night” in the darkness town with his example case asleep. Where did she go? What is away in the trunk that the shop assistant’s ships? What becomes he, with the knives and the seeing doing that he cleans in the sink?.
1950 - etwas New York findet sich ein abenteuerlicher freiberuflicher Fotograf beschränkt zu einem Rollstuhl in seiner winzigen Wohnung, während sich ein gebrochenes Bein bessert. Mit nur der gelegentlichen Ablenkung einer Besuch-Krankenschwester und seines vereitelten Liebe-Interesses, eine schöne Mode, wie Berater, seine Aufmerksamkeit auf den Hof außerhalb seiner “Heckscheibe” und der Bewohner der Apartmenthäuser natürlich gelenkt wird, die es umgeben. Bald wird er durch die privaten Dramen seiner Nachbarleben verbraucht, die sich vor seinen Augen erschöpfen. Es gibt “Fräulein Lonelyhearts, das” so für ihren imaginären Geliebten verzweifelt ist, dass sie ihn ein Teller am Esstisch sitzt und ihren folgenden Chat vortäuscht. Es gibt den frustrierten Komponisten, der auf seinem Klavier, der Sonnenbad nehmenden Bildhauerin, dem wohl geformten Tänzer, den Jungverheiraten knallt, die vor ihren Nachbarn durch einen Fensterschatten, und einem Pfuschpaar mittleren Alters mit einem kleinen kläffenden Hund verborgen werden, die auf der Feuertreppe schlafen, um die vor Hitze vergehende Hitze ihrer Wohnung zu vermeiden. Und dann gibt es den mysteriösen Verkäufer, dessen, nörgelnd, die plötzliche Abwesenheit der ungültigen Frau von der Szene unheilverkündend mit Raubzügen “Mitte der Nacht” in die Dunkelheit zusammenfällt, Stadt mit seinem Beispielfall schlafend. Wohin ging sie? Was ist im Stamm dass die Verkäufer-Schiffe weg? Was wird er gewesen, mit den Messern und dem Sehen tuend, dass er am Ausguss reinigt?.
