Plot Summary:
In a quiet, isolated village in olde Pennsylvania a pact lies there between the people of the village and the beings which live in the surroundings woods: The town-dwellers do not come into the woods, and the beings do not come into the village. The pact remains true during many years, but if Lucius Hunt searches medical need of the towns except the wood, the pact is challenged. The animal bodies which are empty in the fur begin to appear the village, to be afraid the advice of old people causing, for the security of the village, the pact, and so much more.
In einem ruhigen, isolierten Dorf im olde Pennsylvanien, dort liegt ein Pakt zwischen den Leuten des Dorfes und den Wesen, die in den Umgebungswäldern wohnen: Die Städter gehen in die Wälder nicht ein, und die Wesen gehen ins Dorf nicht ein. Der Pakt bleibt wahr viele Jahre lang, aber wenn Lucius Hunt medizinischen Bedarf von den Städten außer dem Holz sucht, wird der Pakt herausgefordert. Tierrümpfe, die am Pelz leer sind, beginnen, um das Dorf zu erscheinen, den Rat von Älteren verursachend, sich für die Sicherheit des Dorfes, des Pakts, und so viel mehr zu fürchten.
