Plot Summary:
For unknown reasons, the internal heart of the earth gave up turning, by making the electromagnetic field of the planet fast deteriorate. Immediately, the life around the globe begins changing radically. In Boston, 32 persons with cardiac pacemakers, all within 10 blocks, fall rigid dead suddenly. In San Fransisco, collapses of Golden Delicious Gate Bridge, by sending hundreds of people diving to their dead. In London’ s Trafalgar Square, the herds of pigeons lose their capacity to sail, by flying in crowds thrown into a panic, by banging in parry them breezes and by making drivers lose the control of their cars. And in Rome, as thousand tourists’ watches hopelessly, an electrical superstorm reduces ancient Roman Colisée to debris. By bumping into each other to solve crisis, the governmental and military civil servants call geophysicist Dr. Josh Keyes and a team of the scientists the most gifted with the world to travel in the heart of the earth in an underground trade piloted by Commander ” terranauts ” Rebecca “Beck ” Childs and commander Robert Iverson. Their mission: Blow up a nuclear apparatus which will delay the heart on function and save the world of sure destruction.
Pour les raisons inconnues, le coeur intérieur de la terre a arrêté de tourner, en faisant le champ électromagnétique de la planète rapidement se détériorer. Immédiatement, la vie autour du globe commence à changer radicalement. À Boston, 32 personnes avec les stimulateurs cardiaques, tous dans un rayon de 10 blocs, tombent raide mortes subitement. À San Francisco, les effondrements de Golden Gate Bridge, en envoyant des centaines des gens plongeant à leurs morts. Dans London’s Trafalgar Square, les troupeaux de pigeons perdent leur capacité de naviguer, en volant dans les foules paniquées, en claquant dans les pares-brises et en faisant des conducteurs perdre le contrôle de leurs voitures. Et à Rome, comme milliers de montre de touristes désespérément, une supertempête électrique réduit le Colisée romain ancien aux décombres. En se bousculant pour résoudre la crise, les fonctionnaires gouvernementaux et militaires font appel à Dr geophysicist. Josh Keyes et une équipe des scientifiques les plus doués du monde pour voyager dans le coeur de la terre dans un artisanat souterrain piloté par Commandant “terranauts” Rebecca “Beck” Childs et Commandant Robert Iverson. Leur mission : Faites exploser un appareil nucléaire qui remettra le coeur en fonction et sauvera le monde de la destruction sûre.
