Plot Summary:
“‘Moisés Kaufman” (Qv) and members of the Plan of Tectonic Theatre of New York went to Laramie, Wyoming after murder from ‘Matthew Shepard (I) ‘(Qv). It is a version of film of the game which they wrote based on more than 200 interviews which they drove in Laramie. It follows and reproduces in certain cases chronology of shepherd’s visit in a local bar, a taken away a sound and flapping, discovery of him tied to a fence, the day before to a hospital, its death and funeral and trial of its killers. He blends real news bulletins with the actors describing friends, family, cops, killers and other inhabitants Laramie in their own words. He ends with a production of Laramie “of Angels in America” one year after the death of Shephard.
‘Moisés Kaufman’ (qv) et membres du Projet de Théâtre Tectonique de New York sont allés à Laramie, Wyoming après le meurtre de ‘Matthew Shepard (I)’ (qv). C’est une version de film du jeu qu’ils ont écrit basé sur plus de 200 interviews qu’ils ont conduites dans Laramie. Il suit et reproduit dans certains cas la chronologie de la visite de Berger à une barre locale, son enlevé et le battement, la découverte de lui attaché à une clôture, la veille à l’hôpital, sa mort et l’enterrement et le procès de ses tueurs. Il mélange des bulletins d’information réels avec les acteurs décrivant des amis, une famille, des flics, des tueurs et d’autres résidents Laramie dans leurs propres mots. Il se termine avec une mise en scène de Laramie “d’Anges en Amérique” une année après la mort de Shephard.
